Meet the 2010 Chairman of the Board

I am honored to serve as the 2010 Board Chair of the Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce. The legacy of leadership that brings us to this point is impressive and I will uphold the fine tradition of integrity, leadership and vision that my predecessors have established. From the Ambassadors to Leadership Garden City, our Chamber's program of work supports the many aspects of business development essential in today's highly competitive business environment.

Our plan this year will be to support our members by assisting in workforce training and development, offering important networking opportunities, promoting our legislative agenda at the local, state, and federal level, working regionally and to promote Convention and Tourism. I am confident that our membership can readily see the value of these endeavors and invite them all to get actively involved in their Garden City Area Chamber of Commerce.

Scott Taylor holds a degree in Pharmacy and a Masters in Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio Texas. He currently works for Catholic Health Initiatives as President and CEO of St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas, the largest hospital in SW Kansas with 132 licensed beds employing 575 professionals. During his 4+ year term at St. Catherine Hospital the facility has recruited 21 physicians to the market. Scott's wife Lisa owns and oversees a retail business in New Mexico, and Scott's daughter Ashley is a corporate manager with a retail food chain in Texas.
